This website is run by J. Chen Plastering Limited, a plastering and drylining contractor based in Tullamore, Co Offaly. We are the data controller for any personal information described here.

What we collect, and why

There is no contact form on this website, so the site itself collects nothing about you. We only hold information you choose to send us when you make contact:

• By phone — your number and whatever you tell us about the job.
• By email — your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
• By WhatsApp — your number, your messages, and any photos you send.

We use this only to answer your enquiry, price the work, and carry out the job if you go ahead. We do not use it for marketing, and we never sell or share it with anyone else, except where we are required to by law.

The legal basis is that we need it to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to perform that contract if you hire us.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages and job records indefinitely, so we can look back at past work if you contact us again. If you would like your details deleted, just ask and we will remove them, unless we have to keep something for tax or legal reasons.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. There is no Google Analytics or any other tracking or advertising software, and we do not build any profile of visitors. That is why you see no cookie banner.

Other services involved

• Website hosting — the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, their servers process your IP address in order to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
• Fonts — the page styling loads two fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google receives your IP address.
• Email — our email is Gmail, so messages you send us are stored on Google's systems.
• WhatsApp — if you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is carried by WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and governed by their own privacy terms.

Links to Facebook and TikTok on this site are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from them unless you click through.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• have anything inaccurate corrected
• have your information deleted
• restrict or object to how we use it
• receive it in a portable format

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will try to sort it out. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
